PEMBROKE, Mass. -- An 84-year-old Pembroke town official is accused of pushing and poking two police officers while unleashing a string of four-letter words, the Patriot Ledger reported Saturday.James Kilcommons, a public works commissioner, pleaded innocent to two counts of assault and battery on a police officer when he was arraigned on the charges last week in Plymouth District Court.Police officers had gone to his home in November to speak with his daughter when Kilcommons allegedly pushed police officer Wendy LaPierre, then grabbed her left arm and swore at her. The application for a court complaint also said Kilcommons poked officer James Burns in the chest several times with his index finger, pushed the officer and grabbed onto his shirt.Kilcommons declined comment when contacted by the Patriot Ledger. Kilcommons has had a long, sometimes controversial run as a town official in Pembroke, the newspaper reported. In 1984, he was accused of punching a Hanover man in the face after a meeting of the Housing Authority. The man did not press charges.
