1 Killed, 1 Hurt In Interstate 495 Crash

Van Rolled Over In Berlin

State troopers said one man was killed and another seriously injured in an early-morning crash on Interstate 495 in Berlin.

They said the crash happened about 9:15 a.m. when a van rolled over several times and came to rest in the breakdown lane near the exit to Route 62.

The passenger, William C. Lewis, 29, of North Grafton, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Joseph R. Murray, 32, of Hopkinton, was taken to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
