PALMER, Mass. -- Investigators returned to the woods of Palmer Wednesday in their search for clues in the murder of teenage lifeguard Molly Bish.
NewsCenter 5's Jack Harper reported that authorities confirmed remains Monday discovered in the area were those of Molly -- who had been missing since June of 2000.Investigators are reinterviewing people who may be involved in the case, including 11 people who failed a lie detector test.
"The person who placed (Molly) at peril will be found by the Massachusetts State Police. I am confident of that. We will now turn to helping them in any way we can to pursue this individual. We would ask this person to turn himself in now," John Bish, Molly's father, said. After the emotional plea, the Bish family is spending the day at home putting together plans for a memorial service, which may be held next week.Around town there is more sadness after the death of Peter Rambiszewski, 20. The young man's car struck a tree on North Street Tuesday afternoon. There had been speculation that the death may have been a suicide because he was a close friend of Molly's.The victim was alone in the car and police Chief Glenn McKiel said speed was a factor.
