BOSTON -- Jonah, the blind Chihuahua puppy suffering from “water on the brain,” died last week despite the efforts of surgeons at the MSPCA-Angell Medical Center. The 8-month-old Chihuahua was discovered in early September at a Jamaica Plain Stop & Shop. A Good Samaritan brought the dog to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals adoption center. The puppy had been diagnosed with a severe case of hydrocephalus by a neurologist.“His head was severely deformed. He had difficulty walking and concerns grew regarding to what extent he could see," said Dr. Andrew Farabaugh.

However, his heart was immense," said Carter Luke, MSPCA-Angell president.
