Tuesday, state troopers will lead an inch-by-inch search of the woods in central Massachusetts, looking for missing Warren, Mass., teenager Molly Bish, who disappeared from her lifeguard job three years ago.

NewsCenter 5's Gail Huff reported that state police will be coordinating the largest search ever for the teen, targeting their efforts on the Palmer-Warren area of the state. They'll start searching about 8:30 a.m.

The last piece of potential evidence located in the case was a hair tie that is currently being tested to determine whether it belonged to Bish.

"We don't know if the human hair is hers. However, we have it at the lab and it's being tested," said Worcester County District Attorney John Conte.

The hair tie was found on the Quabog River in West Warren, Mass., last week. A woman fishing said she felt a strong tug on her fishing line and reeled in what's described as a decomposed hair elastic with a clump on human hair attached. Divers searched the area over the weekend. Bish's family confirmed that she had her hair tied back on the morning she disappeared in June 2000.

"We're not certain that this is hers, but she did have one on," her father John said.

Bish's parents learned three weeks ago that a blue and white bathing suit found several miles away in Palmer fit the description of the one she was wearing when she disappeared. Spotted by a hunter in the woods, the tattered suit was the same size and style as the one Bish was wearing. Several days of subsequent searching turned up several more items that may or may not be connected to her disappearance.

Tuesday, state police troopers, environmental police officers and members of the Massachusetts Civilian Search and Rescue Team, more than 100 searchers, will be back in the Palmer woods searching for anything that can help solve the case.
