WESTPORT, Mass. -- The driver of a 1996 Toyota Camry was killed early Saturday when his car hit a barrier on Route 195 West in Westport, Massachusetts State Police said.

Jaroslaw Cuzytek, 26, of West Warwick, R.I., was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Megan E. Pont, 23, of Rehoboth, a passenger in the car, was ejected and suffered serious injuries. She was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

The Camry veered off the road and hit the barrier in the breakdown lane, police said. It then rolled over and came to rest in the middle of the highway.
