WCVB-TV Channel 5 held an all day fundraiser Friday to raise funds for the American Red Cross International Disaster Relief in Haiti.

At the end of the day, more than $506,000 had been donated.

Donations to the "Relief Fund 5: Haiti Quake" can still be made online to the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

You may also call 1-800-RED-CROSS or donate by texting "Haiti" at 90999 to contribute $10.

The U.S. State Department suggested making donations by text message. If you text HAITI to 90999, a $10 donation to the Red Cross will be charged to your cell phone.

U.S. citizens are urged to contact the Embassy via e-mail to request assistance.
