As Boston police continued to hunt for the wig-wearing gunman who shot Surendra Dangol dead inside a convenience store last week, Dangol’s family arrived from Nepal to say a final farewell to the 39-year-old husband and father.

Dangol, who immigrated to Somerville from Nepal, was shot at about 3 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the Tedeschi Food Shops store at the corner of Elliott and Centre streets in Jamaica Plain.

Dangol’s 9-year-old daughter was originally denied a visa to attend her father’s funeral, but embassy officials reversed their decision this week after they received a request on the family’s behalf from Rep. Michael Capuano. The family flew into Logan International Airport from Nepal on Friday evening.

Wiping away tears, Dangol’s wife was too overcome to discuss her husband’s funeral arrangements, but family members said a Hindu ceremony will be held Monday at the chapel at Mount Auburn Cemetery.

Officials released surveillance video Tuesday of the suspect and a car believed to be the getaway vehicle in the hopes that someone would recognize the assailant.

“I want to make something crystal clear to whoever did this: Nothing is going to deter us from finding you and holding you accountable for the life you took,” Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley said.

The video shows that the gunman appeared to be about 6 feet tall and was possibly wearing a wig along with distinctive hiking boots. He may have had a slight limp in his right leg.

They said he loitered outside the store, located at 772 Centre St., for about 20 minutes before the robbery and may have spoken to another man sitting on a bench outside just before the shooting. Police hope to find that witness to find out what he may have seen.

Police said the robber then got into a waiting car and fled. The car was described by police as four-door white sedan, which they identified as a possible 1989 to 1995 Plymouth Acclaim.

“We all hope that he will get justice,” a family member said Saturday.

The local Nepali community has set up a fund to help Dangol's family, and the Faggas Funeral Home has discounted its rates to assist with the ceremony. A local businessman offered to pay the remaining costs for the funeral and cremation.

Tedeschi is offering a $25,000 reward for information about the shooting. Any community members who may have information about the suspect's identity or the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle is urged to contact the Homicide Unit by calling 617-343-4470. Individuals wishing to provide information anonymously may do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-494-TIPS or texting "TIPS" to CRIME (27463).
