A group of Mendon middle school students are accused of threatening a school administrator on the social networking site Facebook.

Ann Meyer, the assistant principal of Miscoe Hill School, was threatened in the Facebook group "If 1,000 People Join This Group, I'll Slap Mrs. Meyer," the Milford Daily News reported.

School officials said a student came forward and told them about the group.

Two other Facebook groups also targeted Meyer, including one called "I Hate Mrs. Meyer."

Police are investigating, and officials said charges could be filed against the students.

Officials were working to have the groups removed from the site.
