When Scott Sanders and his fiance Carolyn Carr came home Thursday after Thanksgiving dinner with family, they noticed a police cruiser in their neighbor's driveway.

When they checked to make sure the neighbors were OK, they learned that the house had been broken into.

Scott and Carolyn checked their house and nothing appeared out of the ordinary.

But about an hour and a half later, Scott noticed that two ring boxes he kept in his closet weren't exactly they way he remembered placing them.

When he looked inside, two wedding bands were gone. Many other valuables like computers and cameras were never touched.

The couple is getting married next Saturday and they said they'll probably have to go through the ceremony without their actual wedding bands.

Scott and Carolyn said they're upset that someone would do something like this on Thanksgiving day. They also want to urge people to watch out for each other during the holiday season and keep track of everything in your home.
