A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured when their car slammed into a median in the Sumner Tunnel on Sunday morning, according to State Police.

Officers responding to the single-car crash, which was reported at about 1:23 a.m., found two men ejected onto the road and an adult woman still inside the vehicle.

All three victims were transported to area hospitals. The woman, identified as Sharlene O. Bauptista, 34, of Roslindale, was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital. Amaurys E. Objio, 25, of Roslindale, remained in serious condition at Massachusetts General Hospital and Jose Danny Baez, 25, of Roslindale, also remained in serious condition at Boston Medical Center.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. All three were not wearing seat belts, police said.

The ramp from the Sumner Tunnel to Storrow Drive was closed through the early morning while police collected evidence at the scene.
