Earlier this week, inspectional services condemned a Beacon Hill apartment after allegedly finding dozens of sick and dead cats in the home.

The tenant is now responding to the charges and she said what inspectional services saw were only three dead cats and 150 pounds of beef kidneys.

Heidi Erickson told the Boston Herald that three of her prize-winning cats died during the winter and she was preserving them until the spring when she was going to bury them.

Erickson is scheduled to be in court Thursday to face allegations that she allegedly violated city health and sanitation codes.
