BOSTON -- The four Democrats hoping to replace the late Sen. Edward Kennedy have agreed to participate in a live debate on WCVB-TV on Dec. 1.

Martha Coakley, Alan Khazei, Michael Capuano and Steve Pagliuca will participate in the live televised debate at 7 p.m.

WCVB anchor Ed Harding will moderate the debate.

The candidates will questioned by NewsCenter 5 political reporter Janet Wu and a reporter from WCVB's debate partner Gatehouse Media New England and Wicked Local.com.

The debate will last one hour and be televised commercial-free.
