A crane toppled onto the roof of a library in Somerville Monday evening.

The small, city-owned crane was outside the Somerville Public Library at 115 Broadway when it fell, police said.

No injuries were reported, but the crane's arm fell onto the roof of the building, officials said. The building sustained minor damage.

Traffic was diverted around the area while the crane was removed.
