Two supermarket employees chased after a robbery suspect who they say stole cash from their Attleboro store Sunday night.

A man, identified by Attleboro police as James Boyce, allegedly went into the Stop and Shop on Pleasant Street at about 8 p.m., pushed the cashier, grabbed cash from the register and ran, the Sun Chronicle reported.

The man lost a sneaker as he ran across the parking lot and Route 123, the paper reported.

The two employees -- one on foot and one in a car -- chased the man until he was arrested by an Attleboro police officer near the intersection of Bank and Peck streets.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
