A section of Route 128 in Woburn has been shut down after a truck rolled over and spilled scrap metal onto the highway.

Three travel lanes of the northbound side of the highway are closed. Detours have been set up, and motorists were urged to avoid the area.

The lane closures are causing traffic delays, according to the Massachusetts State Police.

The lanes will remain closed until the vehicle and debris are removed.
