Victim Found On Busy Allston Street Corner

A man died Sunday morning after he was found stabbed outside an Allston convenience store, police said.

A police officer patrolling the area near the Tedeschi Food Shop on the corner of Harvard and Brighton avenues spotted a crowd gathering around the man at about 2:16 a.m. The officer called for an ambulance and began performing CPR on the 24-year-old man.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

Police said Sunday evening that a 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the stabbing. Corey D. Patterson, of Dorchester, will be charged with accessory to murder after the fact. He is also accused of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
