An Everett man accused of groping a woman on an MBTA train was arraigned Friday on multiple charges of indecent assault and battery.

Hugo Hernandez, 22, was arrested late Wednesday by MBTA police in connection with an incident on an Orange Line train on Oct. 19.

A woman said she boarded an Orange Line train at North Station at about 5:20 p.m. She said a man "crammed into" the train behind her and she felt him fondling her buttocks. When she got off the train at the Community College MBTA Station, she said the man followed her. She reported the incident to an MBTA worker, who called police.

Three additional complaints were obtained as a result of witness identifications, according to police.

Hernandez was held on $8,000 bail.
