3 Women Robbed In South Boston In Last 2 Weeks

Boston police are looking for the culprits in three unarmed robberies that have been reported in the city's South Boston neighborhood in the past two weeks.

The robberies took place in the areas of K and East Eighth streets, O and East Seventh streets and P and East Fourth streets. All the robberies took place between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The first incident happened on Oct. 22, when a woman said a man robbed her while she was waiting at a bus stop in the area of P and East Fourth streets at about 7:41 p.m., police said. The woman told police a white man in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a blue Patriots sweatshirt and a black hat approached her, knocked her down and stole her purse. The woman said an iPod was in her purse.

The second incident happened at about 10:30 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 24, in the area of O and East Seventh streets. A woman told police that she got out of a cab when a white man, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall approached her, knocked her down and stole her purse.

The next day, the victim’s bank card was used by a man believed to be the robber at the Mt. Washington Bank at 470 West Broadway.

The third incident happened at about 10:09 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 4, in the area of K and East Eighth streets. The victim told police she was walking home when a white man with brown hair, in his early 20s, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build, wearing a blue three-quarter length jacket approached her, knocked her down and grabbed her pocketbook. The victim said she then watched the man get into a black vehicle which drove down I Street in the direction of East Broadway.
