Gunfire Breaks Out As Party-Goers Leave Home, Police Say

A 21-year-old woman remains in critical condition after she was struck by gunfire outside of her home in Dorchester early Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police that gunfire broke out in front of the woman's home at 40 Glenway St. as party goers were leaving at about 1:24 a.m. The victim was hit by a single bullet, police said.

The woman is being treated at Boston Medical Center.

Two other vehicles were also struck by stray gunfire during the incident, police said, and detectives recovered ballistic evidence near the scene of the shooting.
