A 21-year-old woman remains in critical condition after she was struck by gunfire outside of her home in Dorchester early Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police that gunfire broke out in front of the woman's home at 40 Glenway St. as party goers were leaving at about 1:24 a.m. The victim was hit by a single bullet, police said.

The woman is being treated at Boston Medical Center.

Two other vehicles were also struck by stray gunfire during the incident, police said, and detectives recovered ballistic evidence near the scene of the shooting.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Boston Police at 617-343-4470. Community members who wish to remain anonymous may do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Hot Line at 1-800-494-TIPS. You may also text a ‘tip’ to CRIME (27463).
