Felix Garcia Apprehended In New Jersey

Police said a man has been arrested in connection with the slaying of a Worcester man over the weekend following an argument that started while the pair were watching a soccer match.

They said Felix Garcia, also known as Javier Velez, was apprehended by New Jersey police at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday as a fugitive from justice based on an outstanding arrest warrant for the 43 Austin St. homicide.

Police said he shot his 26-year-old roommate Juan Manuel Trejo Hernandez several times in the back.

The suspect was apprehended without incident outside of a Harrison, N.J., address which was brought to light during the investigation. The town is near Newark, N.J.
