An 84-year-old woman was flown to a Boston hospital on Thursday after she was stuck in a crosswalk in Salem.

The woman was walking at the intersection of Route 107 and Aborn Street when she was hit, police said.

The driver of the Honda CRV, a 68-year-old man, was not injured, the Salem News reported. He stopped after the crash.

The woman was conscious after the incident, but her injuries required her to be taken to the hospital, police said.

The incident is under investigation. It was not immediately clear if the driver would be charged.
