1 Out Of 3 Bostonians Pick Cell Phone Over Sex
More Women Than Men Opt To Lose Libidos

BOSTON -- Would you rather give up sex or your cell phone? Almost one-third of men and women in Boston would forgo sex for an entire year rather than give up their cell phones, according to a new survey by Samsung Mobile.Thirty-one percent of Bostonians said that they just can't live without their phones. Boston women were more willing than men to lose their libidos.Thirty-eight percent of women would give up sex, whereas only 19 percent of men would make the same choice.The survey also looked at how people are using cell phones in their daily life. A majority of cell phone users, 81 percent, said they are regular text messagers. Thirty-seven percent rely on texting to communicate instead of having a conversation on their cells.The study also found that the average Boston cell phone user spends three hours each day chatting or using a cell phone's text, picture and video messages among other features.The survey was conducted by Kelton Research and included 300 cell phone users in Boston.
