MONT VERNON, N.H. -- Police have arrested four people in connection with the death of a Mont, Vernon woman in an attack at her home over the weekend that also left her daughter severely injured.Two of the people arrested have been charged with first degree murder. The other two with burglaries and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.Steven Spader, 17, Christopher Gribble, 19, William Marks, 18, and Quinn Glover, 17, will be arraigned Tuesday in Milford District Court in New Hampshire, authorities said.Spader and Gribble were charged with first degree murder and attempted murder in connection with an attack on a minor victim. They were also charged with conspiracy to commit first degree murder.Marks and Glover were charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and armed robbery.Authorities identified the woman as Kimberly Cates of 4 Trow Road; neighbors said she was a nurse who worked part-time at several hospitals.An autopsy performed on Cates, 42, determined that the cause of death was multiple sharp injuries to the head, torso, left arm, and left leg. The medical examiner concluded that the death was a homicide. John Quinlan, the chairman of the Mont Vernon Board of Selectmen, said Sunday the girl was in stable condition at Children's Hospital in Boston. Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strezlin said police had been speaking with neighbors, searching the surrounding woods and collecting evidence.
