Leigh Ann Moreau's approach to life was expressed by a tattoo of
Chinese symbols on her lower back. The symbols say that life must
be lived by the heart.
The 21-year-old had chosen art therapy as a career, after
graduating in December from Springfield College, in Springfield,
Mass. She had been accepted to several graduate schools, her family
said. Her love for the arts included music.
"It was through her love of music that she truly connected with
those whom she loved," Moreau's mother, Jean, told The Providence
Journal.
The dark-haired Moreau, of Providence, went to The Station
nightclub with a group of friends.
Her family believes Moreau remains with the survivors.
"Every time you hear a dog bark, a bird chirp or some random
critter scurry, you will know she is there, helping that critter
through whatever woes it is experiencing, just as she will continue
to do with all of us," her mother said.
