Donna Mitchell

Donna Mitchell was of the giving kind.

The 29-year-old cooked Thanksgiving dinner for the guests each year at the Best Western hotel in Fall River, Mass., where she worked.

She took in a stray cat found at a warehouse where a friend worked. She stopped at a local bakery on Sundays to buy a slice of lemon-meringue pie for her mother, Joanne.

"She would always do things like that," Joanne Mitchell told The Providence Journal. "She was very generous."

Mitchell, of Fall River, was a cheerleader at Joseph Case High School in Swansea, Mass., from which she graduated in 1991.

She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and followed the Boston Bruins.

Mitchell had two daughters and she planned to marry Robert Feeney of Fall River, Mass., next year.

The two had gone to The Station together to see the Great White concert. Feeney survived the fire.
