Lisa D'Andrea was a nature lover.
The Barrington resident would
walk along the waters near her home, searching for seashells and
unique rocks. She tended to potted plants on her window sills.
She
also helped restore the nearby Allin's Cove salt marsh.
"She had a tremendous zest for living," her sister, Paula,
told The Providence Journal. "We're all proud of her."
D'Andrea, 42, taught special-education classes at Cranston East
High School. She went to The Station with another special-education
teacher, Abbie Hoisington, and other friends. Hoisington also died
in the fire.
Friends said D'Andrea wouldn't have gone out if there had been
school the next day.
"She went to bed by 8:30 p.m. every night," said Bethany
Aspinwall, a teacher a Cranston East. "She only stayed out late
maybe three to four times a year."
