BOSTON -- Several puppies rescued last week before they were delivered to a pet store in Webster are being treated in the emergency room of a Grafton animal hospital.NewsCenter 5's Jorge Quiroga reported that about 24 dogs were pulled from a truck before they were brought to pet stores. They are now being treated at the Foster Animal Hospital. Some of the dogs have been in intensive care for nine days."It's pretty sad to see them ill, and that comes from whenever you put a lot of young dogs from different sources together. You have the risk for infection," said Dr. Mary Labato of Foster Animal Hospital. All of the animals needed medical care. One puppy died and seven remain in the emergency room.
