Two people suffered serious injuries in a “domestic related” stabbing in Swampscott on Saturday morning, police said, when a man allegedly attacked a woman and then turned the knife on himself.

The pair were found suffering from life-threatening stab wounds in the parking lot of the Jewish Rehabilitation Center at 330 Paradise Road at about 6:45 a.m.

The woman was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. She is scheduled to undergo surgery Saturday.

The man was being treated at North Shore Medical Center. Police said he was in stable condition after injuring himself.

It is unclear what the relationship is between the two victims, but police said the incident appears "domestic related."

The man will face attempted murder charges when he is arraigned on Monday.

Witnesses told NewsCenter 5 that the female victim is an employee at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center.
