Mega Millions Jackpot Soars To $133M

BOSTON -- Skyrocketing sales pushed the Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday to $133 million, lottery officials said.

The cash option on this prize is more than $82 million.

The jackpot jumped $20 million from $113 million when no one hit the jackpot in Friday's drawing of the multi-state game. The winning numbers were 5-6-7-11-25. The Mega Ball was 31.

Three Massachusetts players won the second prize of $250,000 in Friday’s drawing. The winning tickets were sold at Mr. Gas & Mini Market on Tremont Street in Boston; Tedeschi’s on Washington Street in Newton; and the Mobil gas station at Interstate 495 and Route 24 in Bridgewater.

Mega Millions is played in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
