Man Arrested At Cape Motel

Police on Cape Cod said they arrested a man accused of raping two 7-year-old girls at a motel on Thursday.

Barnstable Police
Barnstable police said Richard Cura, 40, faces charges of rape of a child with force, indecent assault and battery on a person under 14, enticement of a child under 16, assault and battery, and indecent exposure.

Cura is accused of raping the two cousins at the Hyannis home of one of the girls on Saturday Cura is described by police as a family friend who had rented a room at the home for two years.

On June 20, Cura raped the two girls after he lured them into his room under the pretense of playing video games, police said.

Cura was arrested on Thursday at a motel on Route 28 in West Yarmouth.
