Bellingham Officers Scouring Woods

Police in Bellingham are searching the woods near Interstate 495 for an armed man involved in a bank robbery.

Police are searching an area of woods in north Bellingham off Route 126 near the Irving gas station for the man.

The man was described by Bellingham police as in his 40s, about 300 pounds, with thick glasses and baggy jeans.

The man had a small handgun, police said.

Residents in the area are asked to lock their doors.

The Strata and the Milford National banks are a short distance from the search area.
