Woman Delivers Baby In Car Along Roadway
Mother, Newborn Doing Fine

BOSTON -- A woman delivered a baby along Route 18 in Abington on Thursday morning.The couple was en route to the hospital, when baby Rocco decided to he was ready for the world."All of a sudden, I felt a need to push, and I said, 'He's coming right now," mother Jennifer Damian said.A woman who lives in the area heard screams for help."He said, 'Please somebody help me.' I said, 'I'll get towels,' and I brought those down," witness Anne Tasillo said.The baby wasn't breathing. More Good Samaritans ran to help. One man knew how to open Rocco's airways so he could take his first breath.The mother and baby were taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, where they are in good condition.
