A couple found the kittens last Wednesday in Attleboro and took the animals to the local feline rescue, Angelcat Haven."Their little faces were blistered and peeling, their whiskers had been burned off, their claws melted and most of their fur completely singed away. It was a pitiful sight," said Angela Frankudakis, feline coordinator of Angelcat Haven. After cleaning, treatment and an examination, a veterinarian determined for each animal that no foul play involved. It was reported that the kittens' mother and two siblings perished in the fire.Three of the kittens are females and all four are about 6 weeks old.A couple from Salem was reported to have requested to adopt one of the female kittens. For more information about the kittens and other animals at Angelcat Haven, call 508-203-4240.Copyright 2009 by TheBostonChannel.com.
