NEEDHAM, Mass. -- While there's been much attention after last week's trolley accident paid to the dangers of texting while driving, Needham police are adding eating-while-driving to their list of concerns. A 48-year-old Needham man was pulled over by police last week on Central Avenue after they received a number of calls about a car traveling in an erratic manner, police said.According to the police incident report, the callers said the gray Oldsmobile was "all over the road," crossing a double yellow line and tailgating other vehicles.“The individual indicated he was hungry and was eating the cereal,” the report said. While police were doing an inventory of the car, they spotted a bowl of cereal with milk that was still cold. Police did not release the man's name.Police said they are seeking a criminal complaint against him for failure to stay within marked lanes and operating to endanger. He could face suspension of his license.
