A 9-year-old girl and her mother returned to their Milton home on Tuesday after a violent attack left three family members dead. More
Sarafina Revelus, who underwent surgery on Monday morning for stab wounds inflicted by her brother, returned with her mother to the home on Belvoir Road where the attacks took place.

Revelus’ sisters, Samantha, 17, and Bianca, 5, were killed by their brother, Kerby Revelus, on Saturday afternoon in a series of violent stabbings, according to police. Sarafina was rescued by four Milton police officers who shot her brother as he stabbed her with a kitchen knife.

The children’s mother and father were both at work at the time of the killings, police said.

Relatives said they had no warning Kerby Revelus was capable of committing the alleged violent killings.

“Kerby always laugh,” said aunt Marie Rovelus. “He always making fun, you know? He was OK.”

“He was a loving child,” said relative Farah Pierre. “I didn’t know he was in all these problems. This is amazing to me; this is crazy.”

Neighbors, however, said Kerby Revelus may have been mentally unstable. Residents who spoke with NewsCenter 5 said they had previously observed Revelus walking around the neighborhood talking to himself.

The family said a wake will take place on Friday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, located at 814 American Legion Highway in Roslindale. Funeral services for all three children will be held on Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, at 575 American Legion Highway in Roslindale at 9:30 a.m.

The Revelus family also established a charitable fund in memory of their children at Citizens Bank. People wishing to donate to the fund can get more information at the address below:
