A young girl victimized by a sexual predator is pleading with courts to send the man back to prison, following the revelation that he has been living at a homeless shelter without wearing a GPS bracelet for months.

NewsCenter 5’s Bianca de La Garza reported that John Canadyan, a level three sex offender, has been living in violation of his parole orders by removing the monitoring bracelet -- a reality that terrifies his 9-year-old victim.

“They should put John in back in jail for a long time," said the girl. “He may come over here and do it again to me.”

Canadyan is living at the New England Homeless Shelter For Veterans, and he recently told a judge that he has been unable to wear the bracelet at the shelter. The judge ordered Canadyan to find alternate accommodations or otherwise remedy the violation 89 days ago, but Canadyan is still living without the bracelet.

Laurence D. Fitzmaurice, CEO of the shelter, said that the organization is not a policing effort and cannot be responsible for tracking or reporting sex offenders living there.

“We are not his guardian in any way,” said Fitzmaurice.

Canadyan is scheduled to appear in court next week.
