BOSTON -- Boston police will unveil a new high-tech approach to policing this Sunday's St. Patrick's Day parade. The Boston Globe reported that the department is experimenting with Twitter. The e-mail-like tool sends short text messages, called "tweets" to subscribers via computers and cell phones. Police said they will send out information about road closures and crowd-related problems and subscribers can respond with their own updates.
