MBTA Police
An Everett man accused of groping a woman on an Orange Line trolley has been ordered to stay away from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority system, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said Wednesday.

Jose Velasquez, 67, pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and battery charges and was ordered held on $500 bail.

The MBTA police was called to Forest Hills Station shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday for a report that a woman had been assaulted. A 51-year-old Mattapan woman said a man touched her and would not stop when she asked him to, even groping her from behind when she tried to move away from him, police said.

The woman called police and pointed out the man to an MBTA inspector. Velasquez was arrested at Stony Brook station, police said.

Velasquez will return to court on March 30.
