Framingham Police
A Framingham woman who had just given birth to a baby girl was arrested Sunday, accused of stealing the purse of another new mom from the maternity ward of MetroWest Medical Center.

Jennifer Morris, 36, was arrested the day after she allegedly stole a purse, cell phone and digital camera from a woman who had just delivered triplets. Police said Morris was caught on a security tape taking the purse and trying to use a debit card at an automated teller machine in the hospital's lobby.

Police said a friend of Morris said she intended to buy crack with the stolen goods.

Morris was charged with larceny of property worth more than $250, malicious mischief and larceny from a building. She pleaded not guilty in Framingham District Court on Monday and was ordered held on $3,000 bail.
