BOSTON -- Michael Graham, a well-known Boston radio talk show host, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges of driving with a revoked license and running a red light.Graham was pulled over in Framingham last week after running a red light on Route 9, according to Lt. Paul Shastany.Registry of Motor Vehicles records listed his license as revoked."The RMV revoked my license because I didn't pay my car insurance in Virginia in 2006," said Graham. "That's because I moved to Massachusetts in 2005 and became a licensed driver with my car insurance paid in February 2006. Of course I stopped paying my car insurance in Virginia. I didn't live there!"Graham, writing on his own Web site, blamed the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles for not notifying him his license had been revoked, a charge the registry immediately disputed."I was pulled for a minor traffic infraction, and was astonished when the officer informed me that the RMV had revoked my driver's license. I don't know when and I don't know why, because I -- like so many Massachusetts drivers -- was never told by the RMV," Graham wrote. "Most Massachusetts taxpayers are working so hard just to keep up with Patrick administration's new taxes and tolls that they don't have time to ponder their driver's licenses."According to state records, Graham's license was revoked in October 2008. Graham was sent a letter notifying him of the revocation, according to registry spokeswoman Ann Dufresne. Graham did not respond to the letter, according to the registry.Graham hosts "The Natural Truth" on WTKK radio and is well-known for his strong conservative views.A Framingham District Court judge released Graham on personal recognizance. He will return to court on March 19.
