BOSTON -- A Whitman tow truck driver was ordered held on $100,000 bail Friday after an alleged hit-and-run crash that left another man seriously hurt.
Tow Driver Charged In Alleged Hit-And-Run CrashJonathan Ladd, 25, was charged with operating under the influence after the Brockton crash. It is Ladd's third operating under the influence charge. He is on probation for a previous offense, and there is a warrant out for Ladd's arrest in Florida for another drunken driving charge.Police said the tow truck slammed into a man getting out of his SUV on Crescent Street on Thursday night. Witnesses said the truck did not stop after the collision."(Ladd) indicted to the officer that he had drank a six-pack at approximately 3 p.m. in a bar in Abington,"The victim, identified as John Rosa, of Brockton, underwent surgery at South Shore Hospital. The extent of his injuries are not known.
