Helicopter Was Headed Toward Oil Rig In Gulf

BOSTON -- A Quincy man died when his helicopter went down in the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday.

Joe Laugelle, who also piloted Sky 5 for WCVB-TV, was flying a helicopter to an oil rig off the coast of Texas. Two other people died in the crash and two others were reported missing.

Laugelle was doing a temporary job in the Gulf at the time of the crash.
