The fire at 899 Middle St. started at about 10 a.m. Ray Bean, 89, kept his cars in the shed. He took his cars to auto shows all over New England.

Bean was out working in his garage when it caught on fire, destroying a 1915 Dodge, 1929 Buick and a 1964 Ford Mustang. His son said that the cars were in some famous movies.

"They were in the movie 'The Great Gatsby,' 'Witches of Eastwick,' 'Brinks Robbery,' and it was his hobby. He worked on antique cars all the years after he retired," said Bean's son, Ray Bean Jr.

Bean was not physically injured, but he was taken to the hospital to be treated for stress.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
