ROCHESTER, N.H. -- Rochester police are searching for a man they say robbed an elderly woman who lives at the Tara Estates.

Police say the man pulled along side the woman's car, got out of his car and asked her about her speed. When the woman asked the man to identify himself, officials say he flashed a badge, similar to that of a police or security officer.

Police say as the man asked the woman where she was coming from he took her purse from the back seat, ran into his car and left the area.

The man is described as in his 40s, 5' 6" to 5' 8", average build, and clean shaven. He was wearing a ball cap, blue jeans, and a dark hip-length jacket.
