Pipe Found On Sidewalk

A section of downtown Boston was cordoned off Thursday after a suspicious pipe was found on the sidewalk, police said.

The bomb squad was called to the area of Pearl and High streets, but no evacuations were ordered and no injuries were reported.

Authorities said after an investigation the device was not found to be harmful and the scene was cleared.
