Police, fire and rescue teams are scouring the area near the disused Norfolk airport for signs of Taylor Meyer, a senior at King Philip High School.

Meyer’s friends told police they last saw her at the airport at about 10:30 p.m. She was separated from them during the course of the evening and did not return on Saturday.

Meyer is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, about 150 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Authorities convened a broad team of search and rescue personnel and began sweeping the area near the airport Saturday evening, utilizing boats, trained dogs and a state police helicopter.

Anyone with information about the disappearance is asked to contact the Norfolk Police Department at 508-528-3206.
