A Milton man won Boston Red Sox season tickets for life in a Massachusetts State Lottery drawing Wednesday.

Thomas Howland was the lucky winner from those who had entered the lottery’s “$5 Ticket Second Chance Drawing” contest.

“We were the first to have a partnership with a Major League team,” said Executive Director Mark Cavanagh.

Nine other winners won Red Sox tickets ranging from season tickets for 2009 to Opening Day tickets.

The $5 Red Sox lottery ticket generated more than $188 million in sales, Cavanagh said.
