A minister's car was stolen Sunday while she was giving a sermon at a Quincy church.

The Rev. Mary Louise Gifford left her keys locked in her office at the Wollaston Congregational Church while she delivered her sermon.

She could not find her keys when she went to get them a few hours later. She went outside and saw that her 2005 Pontiac Vibe and her pocketbook were gone.

"My pocketbook was in the car, with my charge cards and my checkbook, all those kinds of things," Gifford said.

Gifford said the situation is even more unsettling considering the topic of her Sunday sermon.

"The scripture lessons were on the 10 commandments, so I'm thinking, thou shall not steal while somebody's out here stealing my own car," she said.
