"Although we have resources that we can send, for the time being, our hands are tied," said Riche Zamor, of the Haitian Multi-Service Center. It’s a frustration expressed on local radio stations."I have to tell you, sincerely, we are afraid that when we send money and the people don't get the benefit of this money," said Freau LaMonge, of Radio Energy. Some said that poverty, political turmoil and corruption have left few agencies they can trust."It's a reality. It's a fact, and it's become a custom. As far as when they decided to help the people, the folks that come out to help or those receiving the help are not distributing it properly," said community organizer Jean Claude Sanson.
